SWEDISH MASSAGE:  
A massage designed to energize while easing muscle tension in the body by a combination of kneading, rolling, percussive and tapping movements.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Pressure is slowly increased as the muscle tissue relaxes and allows the therapist’s hands deeper into the tissue. This helps release chronic pain and muscle tension.

SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports massage focuses on the muscles associated with specific physical activities. It can be effectively performed before and/or after athletic events. It prepares the athlete for peak performance by reducing muscle tension, promoting flexibility and thus reducing injuries. After event sports massage improves recovery by flushing the muscles of lactic acid and reducing muscular soreness.

TRIGGER POINT MASSAGE
Trigger point massage or myotherapy greatly reduces the source of muscle pain through specific isolated pressure and release. A significant decrease in pain is often found after just one treatment.

CHAIR MASSAGE
Using a specially designed chair, this technique allows for a fully-clothed seated massage. It is typically shorter in duration and focuses more on specific areas of the body, such as the back, shoulders, arms and neck. Chair massages are a great way to relax the upper back and neck area. It can also increase circulation, reduce stress and improve office morale. Chair massage is also great for group activities, including sports events, business group meetings, wedding parties, etc.

HOT STONE MASSAGE
A complete mind, body and soul treatment. Warm basalt stones are strategically placed on acupressure points to promote deep relaxation and are then used with oil to make long gliding strokes along the muscles. The warmth from the stones relieves muscle tension by softening the muscle and increasing blood flow to the muscles.

AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE
Aromatherapy massage involves using essential oils extracted from aromatic plants to enhance health. Specially chosen essential oil is blended with the massage cream to scent the client’s immediate environment and condition the skin and calm the mind. Combining the power of essential oils and massage can help re-balance, revitalize and relax the body. It is a calming, quick acting and extremely effective treatment.

PREGNANCY / MATERNITY MASSAGE
This personally tailored massage is performed on a table with specially designed cushioning for our pre-natal clients. Expectant mothers can lie safely and comfortably to receive this treatment. Maternity massage relieves many of the normal discomforts during pregnancy, such as backaches, a stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches, water retention and sore, swollen ankles and feet.

REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is a branch of massage that focuses solely on zones of the hands and feet that relate to all the major organs and structures of the body. The therapist stretches and moves the hands and feet, applying pressure on hand or foot reflex points. Reflexology does not claim to be a "cure all", but has been known to provide relief from ailments such as tension headaches, arthritis, digestive issues and back pain. It is also a very relaxing session!

RAINDROP TREATMENT
This is a combination of aromatherapy and massage in the gentle dripping of nine of the highest quality essential oils in a specified order along the spine. The essential oils fall like raindrops and bring balance and harmony to the body, mind and emotions. Highly therapeutic and very relaxing.

EAR CANDLING
Ear candles are hollow tapered tubes made from cotton fabric and paraffin or beeswax. The client is fully dressed and lying down on their side. Their head is supported on a pillow so the auditory canal is vertical. The candle is then lit and the non-burning end is placed gently into the outer ear passage. A light suction action (chimney effect) and the movement of the flame creates a fine vibration of air in the ear candle as well as a pleasant crackling sound and a slight feeling of warmth. This generates a massage-like effect on the eardrum. After around 10-15 minutes, the process is repeated on the other ear. This is followed by a facial massage concentrating on the sinus areas and head massage. After treatment the clients usually describe a soothing, liberating, and light sensation in the ear and head area.
